Doodly Defense is a notepad artstyle, short, 2D real-time, tower defense, strategy game, in which the player must protect their Scribbly from encroaching creepy crawlys, by building an entourage of cute Doodlys to help themThe game features a stylized doodle notepad artstyle with key gameplay elements being more detailed and pristine. 



  • Easily Accessible: play with only the mouse input!
  • Build Strategically: construct your Doodlys in strategic areas to maximize creepy crawly destruction!
  • Defend & Protect: overcome waves of creepy crawly's that wish to crush your precious Scribbly!
  • Upgrade: improve your Doodlys to new levels of destruction with the gold you earn from defeated creepy crawlys, and be rewarded by saving gold before the end of the wave for an extra 10% bonus!
  • Stylized Art: experience the doodle notepad environment of Doodly Defense!




Meet Fudge, a cute cat perched in a flower pot!

Fudge shoots normal bullets and is always dependable to take on them nasty creepy crawlys.


Meet Old Hydie, an elderly hydrangea flower!

Old Hydie shoots slowing bullets to help you control the front runners in the wave. Place her strategically in high traffic areas and she can prevent your scribbly from dying with ease.

Please note, if the enemy is already stunned they cannot be slowed - place strategically!


Meet Spookums, a ghost here to scare and stun the creepy crawlys!

Spookums shoots stunning bullets that allow you further control over your enemies that encroach on your notepad!

Meet Cupcup,  a firey cupcake awaiting to burn those pesky bugs!

Cupcup shoots bullets that deal extra damage! Harness this raw firepower to your advantage and claim vitcory!



There is a tutorial question mark in the top right of the screen, select with the Left Mouse Button incase you get stuck.


  • Left Mouse - Selecting Doodly upgrade buttons and opening the build selection menu

Come play our new, short, 2D, real-time, tower defense, strategy game inspired by Bloons TD 6 & Plants vs Zombies called Doodly Defense. This 6 week project, with a two person team is for our Masters Degree. We had to produce a game within the tower defense genre. We are a team of an Artist & Designer (Elisus) & an Artist (Chloe) and we make up PinkPondGames and we enjoy creating short 2D games for you to enjoy.

Alot of the updates are time dependant and if we have no time we will unfortunately not be able to add them, we will try our best though! All updates will be noted in DevLogs too for clarity as to what has been implemented and when.

We would greatly appreciate it if you could take some time to play and test Doodly Defense for us, using the Google Form links below. With this feedback we will be able to improve, quell bugs and push the game to create something stellar with the time we have for this project. List of bugs we know about and are actively trying to squash.

  • You can upgrade Doodlys to level 3 (gold), the button for it just says 'upgrade to level 2' this will be fixed soon
  • Winning the game displays the wrong screen
  • After building the last doodly in a build spot the game slows down. To fix this, pause the game and resume
  • Build select menu animation is inconsistent
  • Options (volumes) values are not saved across scenes
