Doodly Defense - Final Update (v3)!


Ello!

This is final update for Doodly Defense. The project deadline is coming up, so we're running out of time. We had to cut a few extra things unfortunately becuase of this, but we may revisit Doodly Defense in the future and add those updates. This update revovled around the final art and menu assets being incorporated, and any final tweaks and fixes. Find the updates listed below:


Doodlys

  • Spookums level 2 now uses the correct VFX when upgrading to level 3

Art

  • New VFX's for upgrading (which you all voted for - sparkles) and the cost to upgrade (the cost VFX will still trigger if you do not have enough gold, so don't worry about that)
  • New VFX's for creepy crawly deaths and 'rip bubbles'
  • All Doodlys have new bullet projectile art to fit their theme
  • Blowing leaves VFX has been added to the main menu
  • New background page header

UI

  • Scene transitions - small fade in/out
  • Win and lose scene now have images in them
  • Meet the Doodly menu is now complete and accessible
  • Credits menu is now finished with final art and text
  • The tutorial question mark now has an animation
  • The build selection animation has been sped up
  • Pink Pond Games splash image has been added to the start of the game
  • Removed the options menu in the main menu - was not needed

Sound

  • All Doodlys have different shoots sounds now, and all can be turned down in the volume section in the pause menu
  • New upgrade and build sound for Doodlys

Bugs

  • Lose and Win scene buttons now navigate to the correct scenes
